Tamaki Touch game 7 - GI

The early Sunday morning game was quite refreshing, as for most of us, it wasn’t the case of a game straight after a hard days slog at work.

We had 7 players on board today, but the team we played were not the fastest team, so we were quite comfortable.

The previous day at training we talked about mid-play and how to play a wider and more expansive game. We certainly took on board this strategy as we tried to leave our tight-styled game in the past.

The game itself was quite tight, with the lead switching a couple of times. In the end the opposition scored a try in the last play to tie the game 5-5.

Dean took the honours of the first point, with a nice dive from the five metre line. Sean, Stuart and David also took a point each, and we assume that Dean scored another somewhere along the line, or was it Chris?

After the game we had a team barbeque at Stuart’s house which involved meat, xbox and a sickening video of Special Ops versus Galaxy, directed by Jimmy Dai.
